Getting started
What actually happens between deciding and going live.
How do I sign up?
You pick a plan and tick the terms at checkout, and that is the whole signup. No monthly fees until your site is live. The $49 domain registration is separate. There is no separate agreement to sign. Straight after, we send you a short form and a link to leave a voice note about your business.
Do I have to talk to anyone?
No. There are no meetings at any stage, including after launch. Everything runs by voice note, message or email, which is also how you send changes once you are live.
Am I too small for this?
If you are a sole trader with a ute and a phone, you are exactly who this is built for. The Starter plan exists for one-person businesses that need to be findable and reachable without a $5,000 build. Starter does not include the 90-day lead guarantee, which is on Core Hub and Local Dominator.
Am I too big for this?
SiteDone is built for teams of roughly 15 or fewer. Above that you usually need things we deliberately do not do, like custom integrations, multiple user logins or a booking system tied to your job management software.
What if I already have a website?
It stays up and working until your new one is ready. We point your domain at the new site on launch day, so there is no window where customers land on nothing.
Pricing and billing
What you pay, when you pay it, and what happens if things change.
What does it cost?
Plans are $89, $129 and $199 a month, and setup is $0 at the moment. That covers the build, hosting, SSL, backups and a set allowance of content changes each month, with no separate hosting bill.
Is GST included?
No. We are not currently registered for GST, so none is added to your price and our receipts are not tax invoices. If that changes, we give 30 days' written notice, and you can cancel without paying an exit fee. The $49 domain registration and any add-ons are separate.
When am I first charged?
Your first invoice is issued when your site goes live, not when you sign up. No monthly fees until your site is live. The $49 domain registration is separate.
Will my price go up?
Not while you stay subscribed. The rate you sign up on is held for as long as your subscription runs, even if the standard rate rises later.
Is the $0 setup fee permanent?
No, it is an introductory offer tied to the build slots currently open. We will not pretend otherwise or dress it up as a discount off some earlier price.
Can I change plans later?
You can upgrade any time, without paying to have the site rebuilt. Moving up adds pages and change time. We do not offer downgrades, because your site is built for the plan you chose. If you want less, you can cancel under the normal terms.
What if I need more changes than my plan includes?
Tell us and we will quote the extra time before doing it. You will never get a surprise invoice for work you did not agree to.
The build
How the site gets made, and how long it takes.
How long does it take?
Seven working days from when we receive your business information, not from when you subscribe. It counts our build time only, so it pauses while we are waiting on you, and delays like a registrar or a domain transfer do not count against it.
What do you need from me?
What you do, the areas you cover, your contact details, and anything that makes you worth calling over the next result. Photos help if you have them, and are not a blocker if you do not.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. If you can leave a voicemail you can do your part, and you never touch a page builder, a hosting panel or a domain setting.
Is it a template?
It starts from a blueprint built for your trade, then gets your real services, areas, photos and words. It is not a blank template with a logo dropped in, and it is not a bespoke design costing five thousand dollars either.
Can I see it before it goes live?
Yes, always. You get a preview link and a short walkthrough video, and nothing goes live until you have looked at it.
Ownership and leaving
Who owns what, and what happens if you walk.
Who owns the domain and the website?
The domain and the content are in your name from day one, not ours, and you can move the domain any time. The built site can be handed over after 9 paid months, with no handover fee.
Is there a lock-in period?
There is no long-term contract. It is 3 months to start, then month to month. After the first 3 months you can pause for a month or cancel, with 30 days' notice and no exit fee. Your domain is in your name from day one.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
Your domain is always yours. Your site stays live until the month you've paid for ends, then we keep a backup for 6 months. Pay again in that time and we restore it. After 9 paid months you can take the site itself with you, with no handover fee. Before that, the site stays with us unless we agree otherwise.
What if I want to move to another provider?
Your domain moves any time, because it is in your name. The built site can be handed over after 9 paid months, with no handover fee.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes, once you are 3 months past go-live. A pause is up to 1 month, your site stays live, and billing stops for that month. You can pause once every 12 months, counted from the day your last pause ended. Ask at least 5 business days before your next billing date, otherwise it starts the following month. Sometimes we can approve an extra pause sooner at our discretion, but approving one does not mean we'll approve another. This is separate from the 90 day lead guarantee, which pauses your billing automatically if no lead comes in (on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans).
Can I take my site with me?
After 9 paid months, yes, with no handover fee. Months when billing was paused do not count, so a pause pushes that date back. Give us 30 days' notice so we can prepare it. Your domain is separate. It is yours from day one and you can move it any time.
The guarantees
What we commit to, and what we deliberately do not.
What is the 90-day lead guarantee?
If no real lead reaches you within 90 days of your site going live, your billing pauses until one does (on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans). It applies on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans, not Starter, and needs a verified Google Business Profile linked to your site. Your 90 days start from the later of go-live and the day your profile is verified and linked. Amounts already paid are not refunded. Your site stays live the whole time. This pause is automatic and has no cap. It is separate from the pause you can ask for after your first 3 months, and paused months do not count toward the 9 paid months for a handover.
Does Starter come with the 90-day lead guarantee?
No. The 90-day lead guarantee is on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans. Starter is a simple, low cost site to get you found and taking calls. If you want the guarantee, choose Core Hub, or upgrade later. If you upgrade, the 90 days start from the day you upgrade, once your Google Business Profile is verified and linked.
Do I need a Google Business Profile?
For the 90-day lead guarantee on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans, yes. It needs a verified Google Business Profile linked to your site. If you don't have one we help you set one up and walk you through Google's verification. If you already have one we work with it. You give us manager access so we can set it up, edit it and keep it linked. Google does the verification, and its timing varies. A postcard code usually arrives within 14 days, and a video review can take up to 5 working days, sometimes longer. Your 90 days start from the later of go-live and the day your profile is verified and linked.
Do you guarantee I'll rank on Google?
No, and nobody honestly can. We build the site to be found, and we guarantee that enquiries reach you (on the Core Hub and Local Dominator plans), which is the part that pays your bills.
What if you miss the 7 working day deadline?
Your first month is free. The deadline runs from when we have your details, so it is a clock we control rather than one you can be blamed for.
What if I don't like what you build?
You get two rounds of changes on the preview. If you are still not happy after both, we walk away and you owe no fees. If we have already charged a domain fee and have not registered the domain yet, we refund that too.
After you're live
The part that keeps going once the site is up.
How do I get changes made?
Send them the same way you sent your brief: voice note, message or email. Starter includes 20 minutes a month, Core Hub 40 and Local Dominator 60.
Do I have to pay for hosting separately?
No. Hosting, SSL and backups are included in the monthly fee and run on Cloudflare's network, so there is no second bill and no plugin renewals to chase.
What if my site goes down?
Tell us and we fix it, at no cost to you. The sites are static builds served from a global network, which removes most of what usually takes a small business site offline.
Can I add pages later?
Yes. New or updated pages, including a service or a suburb, count towards your monthly change time, which is 20 min on Starter, 40 min on Core Hub and 60 min on Local Dominator. Moving up a plan adds more pages and more change time.
